Mateja Hari is a qualified physiotherapist and former professional middle-distance runner, specializing in the 800 and 1500 meters. Over the years, she has also been actively involved in various styles of dance, where she developed a strong sense of elegance, and coordination of movement – qualities that continue to significantly shape her therapeutic approach today. Her athletic career and personal experiences led her to pursue a degree in physiotherapy, where she further deepened her understanding of movement through professional knowledge. This unique combination allows her to gain a comprehensive insight into both the physical and psychological aspects of performance and rehabilitation. From firsthand experience, she understands how essential a structured, precise, and goal-oriented approach is for a safe return to sport or everyday life.
She gained her clinical experience in private physiotherapy practices in Austria, as well as at the renowned Asklepios Bad Salzungen clinic in Germany, where she specialized in the treatment of patients with scoliosis. In Austria, she worked with a diverse population, from children to older adults, treating both acute post-operative patients and individuals with chronic conditions. She places special professional focus on women before and after childbirth, supporting them with sensitivity, empathy, and a structured approach in both preparation for birth and postnatal recovery. In her work with children, she frequently applies the DNS-Concept to promote proper activation of deep core muscles, improve joint stability, and optimize posture through neurophysiological exercises. With additional training and specialization in manual lymphatic drainage, she also effectively supports the treatment of lymphedema, regardless of its cause.
At Quantum Physio in Zürich, Mateja brings together her extensive experience from professional sports, dance, and clinical practice. Her work is based on individually tailored rehabilitation programs designed for active individuals who strive for progress, whether in their personal or professional lives. Her goal is to improve long-term physical performance, enhance mobility and flexibility, refine the quality and aesthetics of movement, and restore overall physical and psychological balance. With her precise, dedicated, and structured approach, Mateja not only supports individuals on their journey to better well-being but also motivates them to stay active, as she believes that movement is the foundation of a high-quality life.
